Storytelling has been a powerful form of human expression for centuries. From cave paintings and hieroglyphs to fairy tales and graphic novels, the telling of a story through symbol and imagery has captivated the imaginations of artists throughout the world.

FromBeginning2End, this season’s Children’s exhibition draws families into the art of the story. Contemporary Alaska artists present interactive environments in which to talk about art and explore the different ways artists tell stories. The artists’ works emphasize the power of visual images and symbols.
