Childs Glacier is near Cordova, Alaska. We took a ferry from Whittier, Alaska to Cordova. Once you get to Cordova, you drive 50 miles on the Copper River Highway, a mostly dirt road. A great campground awaits you plus The Million Dollar Bridge is only 1/8 mile away. A must do for every traveler. Plan to stay at least 2 full days. Video is from July 2009.
