Fairbanks Light Opera Theatre

About Us :

Fairbanks Light Opera Theatre (FLOT) is a 501 c (3) nonprofit arts organization established in 1970 in Fairbanks, Alaska, whose mission is to produce and promote musical theatre.

Objective :

Although our primary objective is to produce two main stage productions each year, we also have educational goals.  Young people are included in many of our productions and also in our summer educational program: Fairbanks Light Opera Theatre, Jr.  Through these opportunities, many of our youth become enduring members, who continue to contribute to the rest of the community with the skills and confidence they learned while working on their stage presentations in Fairbanks Light Opera Theatre.

Fairbanks Light Opera Theatre also has a Community Outreach entertainment group called "The Fairbanks Light Opera Theatre Showcase Singers."  This group does performances around Fairbanks and keeps the excitement of musical theatre present in the minds of Fairbanksans all year round.
