The damaged Cessna 206, after landing at the Ted Stevens International Airport As noted by CNN on Sunday, the midair collision of the two planes happened on Saturday at around 2 pm (Alaska time) near Amber Lake, which lies between Talkeetna and Trapper Creek. Alaska State Troopers spokeswoman Megan Peters told CNN that one of plane, a Cessna 180, immediately crashed and went into flames, with at least two casualties were discovered on the spot. The State Medical Examiner's Office rushed to the scene and is now helping the rescuers but noted that there is a possibility of a third casualty.
