Merlot, a female Harbor seal pup was found out on the mudflats near Tyonek, AK after some bad weather on Saturday morning, May 21. Those that found her spent most of the day looking for signs that her mom would return for her pup. When it was determined that mom was not coming back Merlot was flown up to Anchorage and then driven down to our facility in Seward. Upon her arrival she was less than 48 hours old.
