In addition to our unique natural beauty, Wrangell is also a community open for business. We are actively seeking diversification and economic growth. That means we are committed to providing assistance and support for new or expanding businesses. Seafood processing, tourism, and wood products manufacturing are our primary economic industries.
Our Economic Development Department will work with interested businesses and owners to answer questions, identify needs and provide necessary permitting or other assistance to any expansion or start-up project. I, the Borough Assembly and the Chamber of Commerce strongly support efforts to aid businesses willing to commit to Wrangell.
