New Salem Missionary Baptist Church

History :

The New Salem Missionary Baptist Church is one of the oldest black churches in Aliceville, Alabama. It had its beginning as a Brush Arbor in the early 1800's. Later a small wood frame church was built.

In August 1967 a block frame church was built. The church was later bricked, and central air was added. In 1988, the following additions were made, a new pastor study, pews were cushioned, another central unit, restroom, Kitchen, and foyer. In the year 2002 ground was broke for a new Church Worship Place. In March 2004 the building was completed.
