Music Performance Assessment

The purpose of the Alabama Bandmasters Music Performance Assessment is to give qualified bands the opportunity to be evaluated and criticized by a panel of qualified adjudicators. The panel shall consist of three (3) concert adjudicators and one (1) sight-reading adjudicator. Bands are classed by enrollment size of the school and are evaluated within the classification. Bands typically will perform three selections within a period of time not to exceed twenty-five minutes, though at option, bands may perform only two selections. One selection must be from the cumulative list for the band’s classification or higher.
