Birmingham bankers, consumer advocates organize clearinghouse to aid payday borrowers

Several bankers present today said they already had services available for those who have never had banking accounts or had been expelled from the system. Each institution described different services and some said it would be beneficial to have an umbrella organization promoting what's already available.
