Mercedes supplier plans $14M expansion

ZF Industries is expanding its Tuscaloosa axle systems plant due to new business it is receiving from Mercedes-Benz U.S. International. According to a release from the Tuscaloosa County Industrial Development Authority, the $14.6 million expansion will create 85 new jobs. Gov. Robert Bentley, along with representatives from Mercedes and ZF Industries, are scheduled to announce the expansion tomorrow.
