Upscale grocery store planned for Daphne

A developer involved with the project and plans filed with the city of Daphne indicate that The Fresh Market, an upscale specialty grocery store, is coming to Jubilee Square. According to the Press-Register, The Fresh Market will be located west of Hobby Lobby, in an area now occupied by a cluster of small, mostly empty storefronts. Ron Carlson, an operating partner of the current developer, L-A Daphne LLC in Birmingham, declined to disclose the cost of the renovation to accommodate Fresh Market.
