Daphne Public Library

The Daphne Library is located in a beautiful 18,000 square-foot building on Whispering Pines Road and U.S. Highway 98. The library, which was opened in October, 1996, has designated areas for pre-schoolers, older children, young adults and adults. There are study areas, computer booths with Internet access and a special browsing area with comfortable seating and current newspapers and magazines.

The community room, which will seat up to 50 people, is available at no charge to civic organizations and non-profit groups. Local schools and organizations are encouraged to use the exhibit areas.

Totaling over 51,480 volumes, the collection includes books, books-on-tape, videos and CD-Roms. There are large print books and an extensive collection of children's materials.
