About Evergreen:

Evergreen, the county seat of Conecuh County, is located in southwest Alabama, almost midway between Montgomery and Mobile, being 78 miles south of Montgomery and 101 miles northeast of Mobile. Year round golf, a large county lake with cottage lots being available, over 400 lakes and ponds and 200 miles of good fishing streams in the county alone. Deer, turkey, quail, dove, squirrel, etc. all provide good game hunting as well.                               

The climate is moderate, with warm summers, mild winters, and moderate rainfall. The average temperatures for the month of January and July are 48.4 and 80.5 degrees Fahrenheit, respectively. Freezing temperatures are recorded about 40 days per year. About 57 inches of rainfall can be expected annually with the month of March being the wettest month followed closely by July. Prevailing winds in the winter generally come from the northwest while in the summer southerly winds prevail.
