The Kate Duncan Smith DAR High School has been and will continue to be a school with a definite mission. 

This School believes its mission is to provide the highest quality education possible to every boy and girl within its responsible area.

It is the mission of this school to work in harmony with the Marshall County School System to develop and implement programs, which will provide each student the opportunity to reach his or her potential.

It is our belief that each student develops physically, mentally, morally and socially and each should be given professional guidance and instruction in these areas.

We believe the school environment should be disciplined wtih emphasis on positive attitudes and academic excellence.

It is our mission to provide instruction for those seeking higher education and to offer art, music, athletics and various vocational training for the development of the whole person.
