Huntsville Ballet Company

The Huntsville Ballet Company is under the umbrella of the Community Ballet Association, Inc. A Non-profit member of Arts Council, Inc. Huntsville Ballet Company holds a long and rich history in the art of dance offering classical ballet and contemporary dance to the community of Huntsville, Alabama. The longest standing tradition is our yearly production of The Nutcracker which affords students from Community Ballet School the opportunity to perform with the company. The Nutcracker is performed each year at the Von Braun Concert Hall with the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra. In addition, the Huntsville Ballet Company performs a Spring Program each year with original works commissioned from resident and guest choreographers.

The Huntsville Ballet Company, with the assistance of the Alabama State Arts Council and the National Endowment of the Arts, brings to the community of Huntsville prestigious dance companies including The Russian National Ballet, Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre, Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico, Gus Giordano Jazz Dance, The Royal Winnipeg Ballet, the Stars of the New York City Ballet, St. Petersburg Classical Ballet Theatre, among others.

Huntsville Ballet Company’s mission is to use the power of dance to inspire and nurture the art of classical ballet through educational excellence, artistic achievement, performance experiences, and education and outreach activities in the community and beyond.
