The Chamber’s Eleventh Annual Eagle Awards recognizing the accomplishments of five area minority businesses will be held from 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 9 at the Baker-Gaines Central Campus of Bishop State Community College. This year's awards will feature MC Hammer, three time Grammy Award winning Hip Hop Artist as keynote speaker. MC Hammer has won a multitude of other awards including three Grammy Awards, seven American Music Awards, The Peoples Choice Award, Image Award and the prestigious BillBoard "Diamond Award.
Hammer is in the ministry and became a preacher in the 1990s and now works as a television show host and CEO and has spent the last ten years researching broadband, wireless, and mobile technology and its applications to rich media, premium content and social communities. Hammer brings both traditional and new media expertise into the public forum and Hammer is a co founder of social media destination Dancejam.
Tickets: $50 per person for chamber members, $55 for potential members or $500/$550 for a table of 10. Seating is limited.
