The Entrepreneur's Forum is a monthly lunch-and-learn business meeting presenting practical business skills training and information that can be put to use immediately.

This month it will be held Wednesday, October in the Mobile Area Chamber's Boardroom from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. The meeting will feature Jim Gates of Gates Group Marketing discussing “Leveraging Search Engines to Find Local Customers.” Search Engines have become the primary way business and individual customers find the products and services they want, yet less than 5% of small businesses take advantage of that targeted audience.

This presentation is designed to give you a better understanding of search engine marketing opportunities. We will discuss the cultural and business impact of search, define the differences between search engine optomization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM), and illustrate the opportunity businesses have to find Local customers through search engine marketing. Every attendee will receive copies of “Connecting small businesses with the substantial search engine consumer audience” (a white paper) and “Why Search Matters to Local Business” (a Nielsen/Net Ratings survey report).
The cost is $10 for members and $20 for potential members and includes lunch.
