Spanish Fort denies La-Z-Boy owner's deannexation petition

Initially, the lawyer for David Marks, owner of the La-Z-Boy Furniture Gallery, said his client was seeking deannexation because of the high tax rates. But when questioned by the council, Marks said his primary reason for the request stemmed from an ongoing debate over access to paperwork about the Spanish Fort Town Center.
