Jubilee CityFest:
30th Annual 8K And 2 Mile Runs:
Montgomery's premiere running event is returning to Memorial Day Weekend, May 24, 2008. This traditional event features both the competitive 8K and 2 mile "Lightning Route" runs and has been designated as Road Runners Club of America's (RRCA) 8K and 2 Mile State Championships. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top competitors. In addition to these events, there is a kids-only Fun Run, so the whole family can be involved in this fun outdoor event.

Aronovs Artfest:
We are excited to once again offer ArtFest! ArtFest is the area of the festival for those interested in hand-crafted jewelry, pottery, paintings, woodwork-almost anything creatively designed! The location of ArtFest will remain the same, along Coosa Street between Tallapoosa Street and Madison Avenue. ArtFest opens when the gates open each day, so make sure you come early enough to spend time shopping and enjoying the arts and crafts from local and regional artists!

Kids Fest:
Saturday, May 24, from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm at the beautiful, new Renaissance Hotel and Spa at the Convention Center. Nickelodeon Live will be entertaining everyone on stage with a great, slimy show!!! Lots and lots of inflatables for kids to enjoy, balloon artists, and arts and crafts available. Minimal fee for entry will be charged

Montgomery Idol:
Auditions for Montgomery Idol will be held at the Eastdale Mall on Friday, May 2nd from 5 - 9 pm and again on Saturday, May 17th from 10 - 2 pm. Two finalists will be chosen from each audition and the 4 finalists will compete Saturday the 24th at Jubilee CityFest! Contestants must be within the ages of 16-28. Those under 18 must have a parent or guardian accompanying them. Contestants must have a picture ID or they will not be allowed to compete.

Saturday, May 24:
Jubilee CityFest Fun Run/Walk sponsored by Publix, Montgomery Advertiser, Sams Club,The Shoppes at Eastchase,Hodges Warehouse, Logistics, Admiral movers, Zink Chiropractic Jubilee CityFest with the 8k, 2-mile run/walk and Kids Fun Run through Montgomery streets are conducted by the Montgomery Track and Running Club and will serve as the state championships
