The Talladega Public Library was founded in 1907, and moved into its present location, 202 South Street East in 1979.

The library has over 20,000 registered patrons, many from neighboring communities. With a collection of approximately 100,000 volumes, and an average circulation of over 95,000 annually, the library ranks second out of 38 public libraries in its population size.
