Bullock County Public Schools
Our Mission Statement:
The mission of the Bullock County Public School District is to facilitate optimal learning for all students. This measure will enable them to lead fulfilling and productive lives in this rapidly changing and increasingly complex society.
All schools in Bullock County are accredited by Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS. The Bullock County Public School District, located in Union Springs, Alabama, provides services to students in grades K-12.
Our district consists of five (5) separate school campuses which are located within a three mile radius of each other, Bullock County High School, South Highlands Middle School, Union Springs Elementary School, and Bullock County Career Technical Center.
There is a fifth campus which is located 15 miles from Union Springs which is Merrit Elementary School in Midway, Alabama. All facilities are beautifully maintained and fully air-conditioned.
The system's enrollment is estimated at 1663 students for the 2007-2008 school year. Elementary schools will have approximately 520 students, the Middle School will have approximately 463 students, and the High School will have approximately 670 students
