Lyon College will hold a “topping-out” ceremony for its new campus center at 11:30 a.m. Thursday (Feb. 2) at the construction site. A topping-out ceremony commemorates the placement of the last beam at the top of a building. Dr. Donald Weatherman will speak briefly and the top beam will be signed before it is lifted into place. The beam also will be available for signing Wednesday morning. It will be located outside the fenced area on the north side of the site.
