The evening of April 3rd 2008 flood waters started rising and flooded several homes in Bryant. In this April 9th interview with KATV, the mayor says they know what needs to be done, but the city does not have the money to do everything at once. The city has known about this problem for over 3 years. How can the city service a largely rural area when it cannot deal with the chronic problems it has now? The problem is that Bryant has been growing so fast that their drainage system has not been able to keep up." Mayor: "We know exactly everything that needs to be changed as far as drainage areas, what needs to be changed, where it needs to be drained. Basically for us we're a small town yet who doesn't have the money to go in and do that all at once."

Alabama traveled to Fayetteville, AR, to play the Razorbacks in the 1st SEC game of the 2008 season. Bama jumped on top quick and never looked back while Arkansas just left scratching their heads. Alabama improved to 4-0 on the season with UGA upcoming next weekend. Good game Bama! ROLL TIDE!
