Welcome to the City of Hope, Arkansas official Web site. First settled in 1852, Hope is a thriving community located in the southwest corner of the State. Hope was named in honor of the daughter of James Loughborough, the Cairo & Fulton (railroad) Land Commissioner, who drew up the original plat of the city. Hope was incorporated in 1875.
