snapback: ideological fantasy is not a substitute for the truth. The money stolen from the SS Trust Fund was put in the general fund. It was used to fund a government that could not stop excessive spending. Spending is the narcotic of modern government. The more revenue that government receives the more it wants. The addiction grows to the point that it can rationalize spending that reaches $1 Trillion in excessive spending per year for years. The habit can never be satisfied.
