Oil Painting Class

We will cover: Equipment (painting surfaces, brushes, paints, solvents) Mixing colors Basic procedures
The fee will be $50 for the series of six classes.
Materials needed and used will be: Several (4 to 6) small canvas boards, 8 x 10” or thereabouts (also can use canvas pad) 3 flat synthetic brushes (about a No. 2, 4, and 6) Odorless turpenoid As a minimum, 5 tubes of paint: white, red, blue, yellow, burnt umber Something to use as pallet. It can be disposable pad or can use some of the things we have at the gallery. Roll of paper towels. If a student already has materials, we can use whatever they have on hand. We have plenty of easels at the gallery for students to use.
Each student will complete several paintings during the classes. Students can work from photos or we can set up still life, or both.
