www.pettycure.com www.twitter.com www.youtube.com Script: I'm reviewing the very first movie I ever saw in a small movie theater in Newport, Arkansas, Mac and Me. Mac and me is a sci-fi fantasy film released in 1988 and stars Jade Calegory, who hasn't acted since this film, and is the big screen debut of Jennifer Aniston, who played as an uncredited extra in the movie. Mac, short for "Mysterious Alien Creature" escapes government capture and hides out in a family's house, where he kindles a friendship with a little boy who helps Mac hide from danger, and they proceed on their adventure: hilarity ensues. Does this sound familiar to you? (scratches chin, looks up at ET poster) The film is known for its gratuitous & unabashed product placement, including a five-minute impromptu dance number featuring Ronald McDonald which takes place in a McDonald's restaurant. It's not even part of the plot! I gave this movie 2 out of 11 stars - it's very kid friendly and good to pick-up for a laugh. As ridiculous as the movie is, I really identify with Mac's obsession with skittles and coca cola, because I love them as well....and I have this uncontrollable urge to visit a McDonald's now.

I've already uploaded "Ain't Got A Thing" in a different version some time ago, but this is the very first version I recorded of it so I thought I might as well upload it too, cause it's VERY different from Sonny Burgess original Sun offering and indeed also from my other version uploaded here, so here goes... TRIVIA: Albert Austin "Sonny" Burgess (born May 28, 1931, on a farm near Newport, Arkansas to Albert and Esta Burgess) is an American rockabilly guitarist and singer. Burgess graduated from Newport High School in 1948. In the early 1950s, Burgess played boogie woogie music in dance halls and bars around Newport. Burgess, Kern Kennedy, Johnny Ray Hubbard, and Gerald Jackson formed a boogie-woogie band they called the Rocky Road Ramblers. In 1954, following a stint in the US Army (1951--53), Burgess re-formed the band, calling them the Moonlighters after the Silver Moon Club in Newport, where they performed regularly. After advice from record producer Sam Phillips the group expanded to form the Pacers. The band's first record was "We Wanna Boogie" in 1956 for Sun Records, in Memphis, about 80 miles southeast of his birthplace. The flip side was "Red Headed Woman." Both were written by Burgess. The songs have been described as "among the most raucous, energy-filled recordings released during the first flowering of rock and roll." Their onstage antics in performance were similarly described.
