Artmobile to Visit Max Milam Library in Perryville

The Artmobile provides arts exposure for schools or communities. The Arkansas Art Center's Artmobile is one of few mobile gallery programs in the country. The Art Center says the intent of this touring program is to bring an authentic gallery experience to communities throughout the region. An art educator travels with the exhibit to provide guidance and information concerning the exhibition.

The 2011-2012 Artmobile exhibition is titled Faces & Places. The featured works come from the Arkansas Arts Center's permanent collection. According to the Arts Center, the exhibit features portraits and landscapes that are abstract and evocative, real and imagined, familiar and strange. These works are placed in the context of social studies, language arts, and visual arts.

Time : Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. A special reception will be held on Saturday, December 17 from 1-3 p.m.
