There is speculation or it may be a matter of fact that Joyce did not write the short poem/rhyme, but a friend of his did and he included it in the book as sort of a kudos or to illustrate the Irish humor. It was one session, and I have not really had an inclination to do anything with it, just fright, that's all. But, the session recording helped me to notice things about my voice. I am working on a new version with some optimism and basic elements to keep it under 2min. 30 sec. I want to add a cello-is and get the track remixed by a DJ and then release it as a first single. But, "Talking To Starfish" is about looking at mistakes as purely aburd, especially drinking to your gills with import beer. I have grown up now and I know that indulgence in anything can cause rifts in any relationship. So, that's basically what this poem is about. I had no idea it was such a scorcher, but now I do, after getting re-acquainted with my Catholic church, or conservative body politic. I don't know what the big deal is with this. It is sort of tonque and cheek at how guys puffeth up el machismo. This can sometimes cause fights. But, that scene is pretty crude for a soy eating veggie head like me. I would get my head crushed in a vice grip, totally Three Stooges style. But, this poem is funny. I felt bad for a while, but it's a fun thing.
