Coyotes Recall Marc-Antoine Pouliot From Portland

GLENDALE, AZ - Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have recalled center Marc-Antoine Pouliot from the Portland Pirates, the Coyotes American Hockey League affiliate (AHL).

The 6-foot-2, 203 pound Pouliot has appeared in 25 games with the Pirates this season, registering 4-12-16 and 20 penalty minutes (PIM). In 2010-11, Pouliot appeared in 69 games with Norfolk (AHL), recording 25-47-72. He finished the regular season sixth in league scoring.

The 26-year-old native of Quebec City, Quebec has recorded 21-32-53 and 74 PIM in 179 career NHL games with the Edmonton Oilers and Tampa Bay Lightning. He was originally drafted in the first round (22nd overall) by the Oilers in the 2003 Entry Draft.

Pouliot was signed as a free agent on July 19, 2011.

The Coyotes also announced that center Andy Miele has been reassigned to Portland. Miele appeared in two games this week, collecting two PIM.
