Glendale, AZ - The city of Glendale in partnership with the Arizona Foreclosure Prevention Task Force (Task Force) will host a free community event offering numerous resources to homeowners possibly facing foreclosure. Residents are invited to meet with representatives from the Task Force, housing counseling organizations, lenders and city departments such as Neighborhood Services and Code Compliance to answer questions and provide advice.
The Arizona Foreclosure Prevention Task Force event will provide one-on-one counseling with certified, bilingual counselors and/or lender representatives and participate in workshops covering topics such as loan modifications, short sales, credit repair, scam awareness and more. All homeowners Valley-wide who are experiencing financial hardship, are behind on home payments and unsureabout what to do, can find the assistance they are needing at this one-stopevent.
Attendees should bring the following items to the event:
- Two most recent paystubs
- 2009 and 2010 tax returns
- Recent utility bill
- Last two bank statements
- Household expense budget
- Property insurance and mortgage statements
- Letter explaining hardship
Founded in 2007, the Arizona Foreclosure Prevention Task Force is a volunteer-driven organization that is committed to reducing the number of foreclosures in Arizona and the impact of foreclosures on families and communities throughout the state. Through active outreach and education, the Task Force works to meet the challenges presented by the current home foreclosure crises with a goal to provide homeowners with solutions to guide them in making effective and positive decisions to solve their home foreclosure problems.
