Don’t miss Glendale’s Unity Day Luncheon with keynote speaker Jim Zwerg. Freedom Rider and minister Jim Zwerg will be the keynote speaker at Glendale’s annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity Day Luncheon.  Zwerg helped change American history in the 1960s with his involvement in the civil rights movement.  Considered one of the state’s premier celebrations bringing the community together in celebration of King’s work, the luncheon will be held Friday, Jan. 13 at the Glendale Civic Center at 11:30 a.m. Call 623-930-2050 for ticket information. Many people don’t realize when thieves or predators may be watching them. Tips such as hiding valuables before you park your car, parking in well-lit areas and being aware of everyone around you.
