 - Don’t miss Glendale’s MLK Unity Day Luncheon with keynote speaker Jim Zwerg. Freedom Rider and minister Jim Zwerg will be the keynote speaker at Glendale’s annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity Day Luncheon.  Zwerg helped change American history in the 1960s with his involvement in the civil rights movement.  Considered one of the state’s premier celebrations bringing the community together in celebration of King’s work, the luncheon will be held Friday, Jan. 13 at the Glendale Civic Center at 11:30 a.m. Call 623-930-2050 for ticket information.  - Glendale Glitters goes out with a bang and a rockin’ block party Saturday! Don’t miss the finale to Glendale’s holiday light display this Saturday, Jan. 14, from 4-11 p.m. with two dozen hot air balloons, ten different bands performing and 1.5 million lights.
