from:County of Mohave category:Government and Politics posted:February 8th, 2012
Justice Frank Gordon speaks to Mohave County Courts personnel Wednesday, Feb. 1, during the 17th Annual Mohave County Court and Probation COJET (Committee on Judicial Education and Training) Conference at the County Administration Building in Kingman. Gordon recalled growing up in Kingman; serving as an attorney with his father at Gordon and Gordon; being appointed to the Superior Court bench in Mohave County in 1962 at 33 years of age; and then to the Arizona Supreme Court in 1975 where he served for 17 years, five as chief justice. Much of his presentation contained humorous reminiscences of life in Kingman during the nineteen thirties through the seventies. “Justice Gordon’s service to the residents of Mohave County and the State of Arizona is very much appreciated,” Mohave County Superior Court Administrator Kip Anderson said.
