About Us
This school is named after a very great man who literally gave his life to help improve the work conditions of farm workers in this country. Cesar Chavez was a "voice for the voiceless" representing the many migrant farm worker's who labored in the fields of California and Arizona for pennies a day. Cesar Chavez peacefully advocated for better wages, work conditions, and the safety of migrant farm workers. He died in 1993. Cesar Chavez made a difference by exercising a fundamental human quality, a genuine love for his fellowman.
Cesar Chavez High School was "officially" dedicated in August 1998. His grandson accepted the honor at our football stadium. We are honored to be in a school that is named after such a great Champion of humanity.
