Carole Bartholomeaux: Champion for battered women
Started the Center Against Sexual Assault while on campus in Phoenix to deal with the large number of rapes on campus. Worked to get a domestic violence law passed in Phoenix. Because of her unique perspective and ability to connect with people she was invited to teach a class at the police academy to new recruits on how to deal with female victims of domestic violence. She is currently continuing to work with the Arizona Police Department and is a corporate member of PLEA.
