Canadian company committed to Florence copper mine

Curis Resources isn’t giving up its fight to develop a new copper mining projects in Florence. The copper pumping project faces opposition from nearby home builders and real estate developers including Phoenix Suns owner Robert Sarver. Vancouver-based Curis is working on getting state and federal permits and approvals to move forward with the mining effort. Curis Resources CEO Michael McPhie was on "Arizona Horizon" on KAET talking about the project. The mine site has been zoned for copper development
