Phoenix Pride
Phoenix Pride Inc. (aka PPI), incorporated under the
laws of the State of Arizona as Phoenix Lesbian and Gay Pride Committee Inc.
(PLGPC), was established primarily for charitable, educational and social
purposes. The main purpose of PPI is to promote unity, visibility, and
self-esteem among gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered persons; and to
promote a positive image in the Valley of the Sun and throughout Arizona through
community activities and services. The largest event coordinated by PPI is an
annual parade, celebration and fundraiser, known as the Phoenix Gay Pride "Party
in the Park" Festival and Parade.
