Mayer Fire meeting stops cold on chairman's letter

Mayer Fire Board members were prepared to go into executive session last week to talk about Fire Chief Glenn Brown's employment status and performance review when new Chairman Mike Rhodes distributed a letter that derailed the proceedings and shut the meeting down for the night.
