Christmas Car Show And Toy Drive To Benefit Queen Creek Children

from:Town Of Queen Creek category:Arts and Entertainment posted:December 8th, 2011
The Queen Creek School District's Family Resource Center and the Maricopa County Sheriff Office's Queen Creek deputies proudly announce the upcoming Queen Creek Kids' Car Show and Toy Drive. Taking place for the third year, this event benefits at-risk children and families in the Queen Creek and surrounding communities.

This year's Car Show and Toy Drive will feature an appearance by Santa Claus, who will be greeting the motorcade of more than 300 collectible and vintage cars, trucks and farm tractors that will arrive at the Queen Creek Marketplace, located on the corner of Ellsworth and Rittenhouse roads, at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10.

Santa and his elves will have their sled posted at the car show and are available to hear the children's special requests. The event will also include youth group performances, music and other activities for the whole family.

This partnership between the Family Resource Center and Queen Creek's Sheriff deputies has proven to be very successful in outreach efforts that have contributed to a happy Christmas for those children who otherwise may not have received gifts. The joint effort has also provided food boxes, clothing and other necessary items to at-risk families to help make their Christmas a little brighter.
