Queen Creek's Town Manager Elected President of Arizona City/County Management Association

Queen Creek's Town Manager, John Kross, recently began his term as the elected president of the prestigious Arizona City/County Management Association (ACMA), a non-profit, professional organization dedicated to increasing the knowledge and abilities of city, town and county managers and strengthening the quality of local government in Arizona.

"It means a great deal to our community to have a professional like John Kross serving as our Town Manager," said Queen Creek Mayor Gail Barney. "John works tirelessly on behalf of the community, makes sure that we have the best resources available for our residents, and provides valuable recommendations to the Town Council. Without his knowledge and creativity, Queen Creek would have had a much more challenging time making it through the recent recession."

Kross, who has served as Queen Creek's Town Manager since March 2007, will serve as the chief officer of the association, guiding ACMA and the board in policy decisions and serving as a leader for the organization. In addition to his regular duties as president, Kross will serve as an International City/County Management Association (ICMA) 2012 Host Committee Co-Chair and member of the Conference Planning Committee for the 98th Annual ICMA Conference, scheduled to take place in October at the Phoenix Convention Center. This conference is expected to draw more than 2,500 attendees from across the globe.
