Town Of Queen Creek Offers Free Clothing Recycling

from:Town Of Queen Creek category:Government and Politics posted:January 4th, 2012
As part of the Town of Queen Creek's recycling efforts, residents are now being offered an opportunity to recycle textiles. The Town has partnered with Phoenix Fibers, a recycling company based in Chandler, to place a textile drop-off recycling bin at the Neighborhood Recycling Drop-off location on Crewse/Ellsworth.

The textile drop-off bin accepts clothing of any type, cotton linens, shoes, boots, and sandals. At its Chandler facility, Phoenix Fibers manufactures post-consumer recycled clothes into a product called UltraTouch, which is a Class-A fire rated, non-toxic, mold and mildew inhibited, insulation product. This provides the community has another option to discard old clothes and shoes that would otherwise be put into the landfill, and helps make a great recycled product!

For more information about the Town's recycling program, please call 480-358-3450, option 7.
