School breaks marathon record

Skylar Okie, a seventh-grade student at Sedona Charter School, said he doesn’t run much but he ran almost four days this week to prepare for the Sedona Marathon. “This will be my fourth time in the marathon. I’m in the 5K. It’s kind of a cool event,” Okie said. “My brother, Travis, used to run for our school. Now he’s at [Sedona Red Rock] High School on the cross-country team. He’s going to run with us this year, though.”
