Orrin Smith XC from Box Canyon - A Hang Gliding film by Greg Porter

I heard that Orrin Smith and John Lowery were planning an XC attempt from Box Canyon so I volunteered to drive for them. Box Canyon is Northwest of Sonoita, Arizona. John got drilled at launch in the light conditions and sledded to the LZ but Orrin was luckier and got up and over the back for a nice 41 mile flight to just beyond St David. i stuck a camera on Orrin's glider and this video is the result. Great flight Orrin! Thanks Taylor for shooting the video of Orrin and John's launches while I helped on their wires - great job!

Cat-dog and I took an awesome trip all the way to Bathtub Tank, near Sonoita, Arizona. It's an easy, but remote 4WD trip that should be easy enough for almost all stock 4wd trucks - the road was recently bulldozed. I had my Jeep in 4wheel high the entire trip. It is a long trip - 40 miles on the dirt. There's some nice, secluded camping areas that make it work while.
