Banner Boswell Medical Center, a 501-bed acute-care hospital founded in 1970, provides excellent patient care to our neighbors in the northwest area of metropolitan Phoenix.

We offer a full range of services including heart services, cancer care, orthopedics, neurology, surgery, rehabilitation services, emergency care, stroke care, intensive care, pulmonary, urology, wound management and sleep disorders.

Our Banner Boswell Medical Center - Heart Center has been nationally recognized for its care and expertise. It is a community resource for cardiovascular preventive care, diagnostic services, medical and surgical treatment and rehabilitative care. It offers heart services ranging from emergency care for heart attacks to angioplasties, electro physiology studies and open-heart surgery.

Our Orthopedic services combine the talents of leading orthopedic physicians with state of the art surgical units. A broad array of specialties are available including sports medicine, plastic and reconstructive orthopedic surgery, orthopedic oncology, joint replacement, and spine, foot, ankle and hand surgery. We also offer Joint Club, a unit dedicated to joint-replacement patients.

Banner Boswell Medical Center has been designated a Primary Stroke Center by the American Stroke Association’s Operation Stroke Initiative and Arizona Emergency Medical System. Our Neurosciences department was one of the first in the state to receive this designation, Boswell Medical Center was also among the first Arizona hospitals to administer tPA, a blood clot busting drug used to treat stroke victims.
