Hollyhock Branch Library

The Hollyhock Branch Library is nestled in the original square mile of the City of Surprise. The City of Surprise was little more than a gas station and a few houses in 1937 when city founder, Homer C. Ludden, named it after his Nebraska hometown. This small branch offers a unique program of services tailored to the Hispanic Community that surrounds it. The bilingual staff provides special training in Internet access, children's programs, after school programs and works with the nearby school and the Senior Center next door. This branch is fully supported with City of Surprise funds.
