Mission Statement
The mission of Eastern Arizona College is to provide open access to quality higher education primarily to residents of its service area. The College is accountable to its students and to the community for educational results, fiscal responsibility, and cooperation in community affairs.
To carry out its mission, Eastern Arizona College will, within the constraints of available resources, provide:
a. Associate degree programs which include a balanced general education.
b. The opportunity to make progress toward baccalaureate degrees, enabling transfer to four-year colleges and universities.
c. The opportunity to acquire and upgrade marketable technological skills.
d. The opportunity to gain the basic knowledge and skills requisite to academic success.
e. Support services to assist students in identifying and achieving their personal, educational, and career goals.
f. Services which respond to the community's cultural and economic needs.
g. Activities and programs which promote general student welfare while fostering an environment in which students can develop leadership and citizenship.
