Seuss-Themed Family Fun for Labor Day Holiday

Enjoy a Labor Day treat at a Seuss-filled event featuring story times, children’s hands-on activities, a special dance performance, and free gifts to visitors dressed up as their favorite Seuss character at the Tucson Children’s Museum on Labor day.  This event is scheduled from 11:00am to 3:00pm and is included with Museum admission.

Kids will enjoy listening to their favorite Dr. Seuss stories while making paper bag elephants, striped hats, play dough food, and more.  Visitors dressed as their favorite Seuss character will receive a $10 coupon from Bookmans and can enter in the costume contest to win Build-A-Bear prizes.

The ZUZI Dance Group will perform the unforgettable “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!”  During this modern dance narration of this Dr. Seuss book, Zuzi will take visitors on a journey through life’s many challenges and choices and how to face them with courage and success.   The performance will be followed by an interactive demonstration with the audience.  

ZUZI! is a local non-profit organization founded in 1998 by Nanette Robinson and Nancy Mellan.  ZUZI! is composed of a professional performance company (ZUZI! Dance Company), school (ZUZI Arts Lab), and theater (ZUZI's Theater).

The Tucson Children's Museum is located at 200 S. 6th Avenue in downtown Tucson.  The Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00am to 5:00pm, and Sundays from 12 Noon to 5:00pm.

Museum admission is $5.00 for Children (2-18), $7.00 for Adults and $5.00 for Seniors. All children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult when visiting the Museum.
