Anaheim, CA - Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait, along with the City Council, appointed Bob Wingenroth as Acting City Manager for the City of Anaheim effective immediately, it was announced at the close of November 16th City Council meeting.
“I am pleased to welcome Bob to his new role,” said Mayor Tait. “I know his extensive experience will be valuable in guiding our City as we move forward.”
Additionally, the City Council decided to conduct a national search for a permanent City Manager and directed the City Attorney to work with the Human Resources Director to initiate this process in accordance with the directions given to the City Council.
Wingenroth was named as Anaheim’s Finance Director in November 2010, and prior to this he served in Huntington Beach for nearly two years in the same capacity. Before coming to southern California, Bob served for nearly 29 years in the City of Phoenix, Arizona, including five years as its Finance Director. During his tenure in Phoenix, Wingenroth was responsible for the fiscal management of the City’s $3.4 billion budget in a municipality of 1.4 million residents.
