Coming off a remarkable
2011 culminating in a CNN Top 10 Hero Award, Bruno Serato, owner of the
renowned Anaheim White House, shows no signs of slowing down this February. In
addition to feeding more than 300 motel children every night, Serato will be
serving up a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner and honored as “Man of the Year”
by Cypress College.

looking for a timeless dining experience will enjoy a 4-course prix-fixe
Valentine’s Day “Romeo & Juliet” menu. Items include Venus ravioli filled
with imported cheeses, St. Valentino salad dressed with a passion fruit
vinaigrette and an entree of fresh whitefish sautéed with lemon beurre blanc
paired with braised boneless beef short ribs in a Cabernet Sauvignon glace and
wild mushroom sauce. A flourless chocolate cake and cappuccino mousse served
with seasonal fruit will top off the meal for $85 per person (the regular menu
also will be available). Guests may choose from 4 seatings: 4, 6, 8 and 10 p.m.

· Cypress College Foundation Americana Awards (Sat, Feb 25) – Serato will
receive Cypress College’s “Man of the Year” award for his work with local motel
kids. Since 2005 he has served more than 350,000 meals to “motel kids” through
his nonprofit, Caterina’s Club. The awards banquet will be held in the Grand
Ballroom of the Disneyland Hotel; cocktails and silent auction at 5:30 p.m. and
